By Ann Hills / 5 years ago

Have you ever wondered what is the reason making people enjoy coffee? Like, how is it even possible to enjoy coffee so much? Well, there are a number of reasons why people love coffee and today, I'm letting you in on just three of them.

My love for coffee begins far back to when I was just a child and would sneak a sip of my dad's here and there. It then grew into a weekly Sunday morning ritual when my grandmother would arrive at my house. My love for coffee has developed over time, but has grown stronger than ever the last few years.

I know it may seem kind of stupid to some to love something like a drink as much as I do, but then again, it's more than just a drink to me. So, get a cup of coffee and discover the top 3 reasons why people love coffee very much.

Top 3 Reasons Why People Enjoy Coffee

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the globe. Why do we enjoy coffee? The root cause why they enjoy coffee is that it makes them feel good. Some get very addicted to coffee and can’t start work without drinking a cup. So let’s try to list down the top 3 reasons why people like coffee:

01. It boosts their energy

Now, don't get me wrong...I do like coffee for the caffeine it gives! Sometimes coffee really is the only thing that can get people up and feeling like they can achieve their dreams and goals. It provides them the energy they need to become focused and energized. It's their midday pick-me-up that perks them up and keeps them energetic the whole day.

02. It helps people relax

The relaxing function of the coffee is also a cause that a lot of people enjoy coffee. A number of people enjoy coffee for this reason because the demands of work and studies would make them lethargic. Coffee is the best drink for people to destress themselves. After drinking coffee, people can go back to work better. People should remember to not drink too much coffee, and should not smoke and drink coffee at the same time because that is bad for their health.

Some coffee drinkers enjoy coffee because of love. Maybe they fall in love with the baristas, they love their dog, they love making coffee , love the beautiful latte art and the taste of the coffee they make. Therefore, coffee has become an essential part of their life.

03. The flavor

I have always loved the taste of coffee - it was never something I had to acquire the taste for or get used to. I like the taste of coffee without any creamers or sugar. I can't tell you how excited I was when I began to be able to taste the difference between the different roasts and brands. When you appreciate coffee for more than the caffeine it provides, that's when you truly start to enjoy coffee.

How To Make Flat White Coffee

It’s quite very easy to make your own flat white coffee. Here are the steps to make one:

Step 1: Pack the ground coffee into the portafilter

Remove the portafilter from the group head at the front of the machine. Place 1/4 oz of coffee grounds in the portafilter and pack them in. You should remove the portafilter by twisting the handle to the left and pulling it straight down.

Use a temper to press the grounds into the portafilter. Press down on them at least two times to ensure that they are as packed. You can technically use previously ground coffee, but for the newest flavor, grind new coffee beans quickly before you make the coffee.

While you can technically use any roast you like, medium to light roast coffee beans are highly suggested.

Step 2: Place the portafilter in the espresso machine

Secure the filled portafilter back into the group head at the front of the machine.

The way for changing the portafilter is primarily the opposite of removing it. Your machine may be different, but usually, you should push the portafilter up into the right position and twist it to the right until it is tight.

Put a wide-mouthed coffee cup under the portafilter spout. This cup will be the one used for your white flat coffee.

Step 3: Put some water

Fill the water tank with enough water for your shot of espresso. In this case, 1 fluid ounce or 2 Tbsp (30 ml) should be enough.

There are many ways to fill the water tank, and the right way will depend on your espresso machine. You might have to put the water through a tray on top of the machine. Alternatively, you might have to remove the water tank, fill it, then secure it back in place.

Put a wide-mouthed coffee cup under the portafilter spout. This cup will be the one used for your white flat coffee.

Step 4: Heat the water

Turn on the hot water knob. The water should become hotter and the machine should start to brew the espresso shot.

Typically, you will have to switch the knob to a halfway setting for 5 seconds to 10 seconds to allow the water to boil. Next, turn the knob to its maximum setting.

Put a wide-mouthed coffee cup under the portafilter spout. This cup will be the one used for your white flat coffee.

Step 5: Turn off the machine after the shot is poured

The machine should pour the shot of espresso from the portafilter spout between 30 to 35 seconds.

Switch the hot water knob off once your shot is poured.

If you have more water in the tank than enough, you should turn the machine off after the espresso begins looking pale or light in color.
